Kickoff tomorrow! Vintage Knitting College Colorwork: 101

I'm pleased to finally announce that tomorrow will kickoff my Vintage Knitting College series, with the first post in Colorwork: 101! I'll be talking about the very basics of stranded knitting over a few posts. Tomorrow we'll start off with how to carry your yarn and how to keep your balls of yarn tidy and your yarn tangle-free. Then in the next few posts after that I'll talk about keeping even tension while stranding and how it plays into beautiful colorwork, color theory with a vintage eye in mind, and tips to make the entire stranded knitting process go nice and smoothly. I'm pretty excited, I have to say!

See you tomorrow!

  1. I'll be following you, even though I am a pretty experienced knitter there is always something new to learn, and you take such great pictures.

  2. That's awesome! I look forward to your tutorial. Who doesn't love a blog that teaches one how to do their hair AND do stranded knitting?

  4. I am so looking forward to it!
I hope I'll be enough skillful (is it a right word?) to try it as well. I like knitting and I've never tried to mix colours.
